The Animal Science Club was started at NC State University in 1936 by students who were interested in promoting the livestock industries in North Carolina, and in providing interactions among students, faculty, and livestock producers. It has always been an active club, and presently has over 100 active members.

The Animal Science Club is composed of people from all majors and backgrounds who are interested in livestock and in promoting the livestock industries in North Carolina.

Our goals are:

  • To enhance knowledge, promote interests, and provide enrichment opportunities to students regardless of expertise, age, industry involvement or species interests.

  • To promote the development of organized animal science activities.

  • To encourage the improvement of scholarship and develop competent leadership among student members.

  • To provide services to the animal science industry and the community.
